David Lau is a Boston-based photographer specializing in sports, commercial, and aviation imagery. His work is built on over two decades behind the camera—combining technical precision with an eye for storytelling.
From 2020 to 2025, while living in Singapore, David was selected by Nikon Asia and Nikon Singapore as a featured speaker and content creator. He led workshops and photowalks, and produced imagery showcasing Nikon’s Z-series cameras and lenses. His teaching covered studio lighting, sports, pet photography, and travel storytelling, working with both professionals and enthusiasts.
In addition to his sports and editorial work, David creates artwork with aircraft owners, aviation brands, and private clients to create aviation imagery for marketing, branding, and large-scale display. (www.ldmkg.com)

His work has been featured in national media, official publications, and displayed throughout Coast Guard facilities. He also mentors Public Affairs Specialists, sharing his real world practical techniques and experience.
David began his career in 2005 as a freelance photojournalist for the Asbury Park Press, later launching a wedding photography business that gained early recognition through The Knot and the Wedding Photojournalist Association. His work expanded into magazines, books, and digital platforms, earning multiple industry awards.
Today, David partners with Coast Guard Academy Athletics as a Creative Partner, alongside ongoing work with brands, teams, and clients across sports, commercial, and aviation.
