The Early Chapters

As my creative focus has evolved, so have the services I offer. My early years as a newspaper photojournalist taught me to work fast and think on my feet, while a decade as an award-winning wedding photographer refined my style and added an editorial flair to my images. Together, those experiences shaped the photographer I am today—one who can capture beauty and story in any environment, no matter how fast-paced or unpredictable.

Wedding Photojournalism

David launched his wedding and event photography business in 2005, with a focus on modern, editorial storytelling. Within the first year, his work gained recognition—featured on The Knot and earning an Honorable Mention from the Wedding Photojournalist Association. His imagery quickly expanded into leading wedding magazines, books, and digital platforms, accompanied by multiple industry awards.

David discovered his passion for photography during his senior year of college, pivoting from a planned future in IT to a career in visual storytelling. His first professional break came as a freelance photojournalist for the Asbury Park Press, where he developed the ability to work quickly in fast-paced, real-world environments. That early foundation led to opportunities with The Wall Street Journal and Aviation International News.
